Overview:

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about art and creativity—university students as well as others with a love for art are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in teaching or working with children is a plus. The Artist & Sales Officer will facilitate art workshops for children and youth in schools, at our retail art space, and at various venues, in addition to supporting activities at our art space as needed.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in Arabic and English and is creative, dynamic, and passionate about impact and working with people of all ages.

Art Space Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the art space, assist with art activities, workshops, and events for all ages and skill levels.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment during the workshops.
  • Collaborate with artists and community partners to develop and promote art events and programs.
  • Manage and maintain art equipment, tools, and facilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the art space. 

Retail Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, artists, and vendors.
  • Process sales transactions, handle cash, and manage the point of sale system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain visual displays and store cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about art and creativity—open to university students as well as others with an interest in art.
  • Experience working with children or facilitating workshops is a plus.
  • Comfortable leading art activities and events for different age groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently within a small team.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with kids, parents, and customers in a friendly, creative environment.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends, with availability for 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM and 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM shifts.

Salary:
Based on Experience

Working Hours:

  • Part-time position
  • Shifts are scheduled based on operational needs within store hours (10:00 AM – 9:00 PM).
  • Availability is required for rotating shifts of 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM and 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
  • Ability to work up to 3 days per week, including weekends, is essential.
