Art therapy is a great tool for exploring emotions, reducing anxiety and increasing self confidence. For our fifth project we wanted to learn more about the power of art therapy and how it can be used to positively impact children's lives.
We hired Certified Art Psychotherapist Sara Barjakli to run an art for therapy workshop for twenty children from the SOS.
Over three days Sara implemented several art exercises with the children that addressed topics like self-portrayal, dreams and aspirations.
This project brought us closer to the children of the SOS and it was the first of several workshops held there. It was also a great learning experience for The Orenda Tribe's team where we learned several techniques from Sara that we now implement in our workshops.
