Art has the power to break barriers between people and empower them.
For project number fourteen, we coupled ten girls from the Modern Motessori School with girls at Gaza Refugee Camp for an art workshop.
We started the workshop with fun ice breaking activities. Then each two participants painted on a piece of a puzzle and they connected the puzzle together. A symbol of togetherness and breaking barriers.
For the main activity each two girls created their own superhero. This included the name, the power and all details of the hero. Then they drew the character.
A couple of weeks later the families and friends of all the participants attended an art exhibition at Modern Motessori School to view the artwork created in the workshop and see all the superheroes.
This was a great project where we saw the participants build a bond between each other. Thank you to Modern Montessori School for funding this project.
