Operations and Workshop Assistant

Job Title: Operations and Workshop Assistant

Company Background:
The Orenda Tribe is a purpose-driven business that creates products and programs to empower, inspire, and educate young people to make a positive change through art. We integrate art and storytelling into products and services that educate youth on global social challenges and how they can make a positive impact.

Job Description:

We are looking for a creative, organized, and ambitious Workshop and Operations Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our operations in Jordan.

This role is essential in maintaining the flow of our art and retail spaces, workshops, events, and inventory — while bringing positive energy, creativity, and attention to detail to every task.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, passionate about art and community, and excited to grow with a purpose-driven team. If you love being hands-on, multitasking, and creating meaningful experiences, we’d love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure the art and retail space is always clean, organized, and visually inspiring.
  • Facilitate and support workshops and events, especially those for children and families — from preparing materials to assisting participants.
  • Support the planning and coordination of creative events and activities, ensuring all materials and logistics are ready.
  • Track and monitor inventory of products and art materials using Shopify, ensuring sufficient stock levels at all times.
  • Conduct monthly procurement orders for art supplies, products, and retail needs.
  • Assist with daily cash management, sales tracking, and invoice follow-up.
  • Support external events, including vendor coordination and ensuring smooth setup and operations.
  • Assist with export processes, proposals, and administrative tasks when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to improving operational systems for better efficiency.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Arts Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (operations, retail, workshops, or events).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience or comfort working with children and families in creative settings.
  • Passion for art, creativity, and community development (artistic hobbies are a plus!).
  • Basic knowledge of inventory or procurement systems; familiarity with Shopify is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Jordanian nationality.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Flexibility in work hours and shifts depending on operational needs.
  • Comfortable in managing space organization and presentation for workshops and events.
  • Energetic, positive, and reliable — with a genuine interest in The Orenda Tribe’s mission and creative culture.

Salary:
