We added an extra layer of giving back with this special item in addition to our mission of Empowering Children & Breaking Barriers between communities through art.
This tote bag was produced by Syrian women living in Za'atari refugee camp using up-cycled tent material from old UNHCR tents, which the Za'atari residents used to live in before moving into caravans.
This project that is launched by BAGS FOR LIFE (collaboration between more than shelters & oxfam) aims to empower women through creating employment opportunities for them while help protect the environment through up-cycling the unused tents.
By sourcing the tote bags from BAGS FOR LIFE we are improving the livelihoods of the women who created these bags.
The design on the tote bag was inspired from the little artists' (Salma, Bara'a and Malak) artwork and was created by The Orenda Tribe.
Since the tent farbic was made to withstand harsh conditions, the tote bag material is fire proof, water proof and of top quality.
Silk-screen print on both sides of the tote bag.
Approximate dimensions 38cmx42cm (WxL)
Note: the color of the fabric (lighter or darker) and the dimensions might slightly differ due to the variation in the original tent fabric.
We ship globally through Aramex.
