The Orenda Tribe is on a mission to empower youth to make positive change in their own communities through art and storytelling.
We implement art and storytelling workshops in schools and different communities to teach youth about important social topics such as mental wellness, climate change and gender equality.
We also sell physical and digital products that compliment our workshops and raise awareness on social topics.
Job Description:
The Orenda Tribe is looking for a full-time artist & team member to facilitate art workshops, complete daily tasks assigned by direct manager and represent The Orenda Tribe in their store, different communities, schools and in events.
To be successful in this position you need to be creative, have a good experience in giving art/design classes or workshops and have excellent time management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take part in the design process of art workshops on different topics
- Give art workshops and classes in different locations
- Assist customers in art activities in the store
- Represent The Orenda Tribe in the store, in schools and in events at different locations
- The Orenda tribe product sales in store and in pop-up events
- Store supervision during working hours
- Preparing reports and sending emails as per direct manager's instruction
- Daily store-related or other tasks assigned by direct manager
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in art or design related topic
- 1 to 3 years experience in giving arts and crafts or design related classes to youth either in schools or in retail
- Basic knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Basic knowledge in using Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent English & Arabic language
- Experience in working with kids
- A big plus: experience in retail or sales
Working Hours and Location:
- Number of Working hours: as per Jordanian Labor Law
- Days & Times: days and times will be assigned by direct manager according to work. Shifts might include Fridays and Saturdays.
- Location: Main location is The Orenda Tribe in Weibdeh and in other venues for different projects when needed
